“A Myna Rebellion”, a 1.5m sculpture makes its debut at Sneakertopia at Art Science Museum, a reflection on street culture born out of rebellion and the rejection of the status quo in a city obsessed with perfection.
The myna(h) stands with its chest out, proudly ripping the wires out of a cctv camera as it claims it’s space. This self-made king of the streets acknowledges being seen as the lowest denominator, yet it embraces the fight that is to come.
