With a well-timed, seasoned leap from its hometown overgrown with poppies, Winter Rat ambushes an unwitting Spring Rat in an attempt to rip its wings off, muttering under its breath "You don't deserve this."

A continuation story on the characters from my last solo Rising Change, the Winter Rat, tired of being confined to it's harsh environment fights back. It spots its target, the flourishing Spring Rat as it starts to soar.
